Colloquium: Diaz explains the molecular basis of memory

Dr. Elva Diaz

This week the Biology Colloquium seminar series features Elva Diaz, a professor in the Department of Pharmacology at UC Davis, who studies the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying neural development and plasticity — the changes in nerve cells that allow memory formation and learning. Dr. Diaz’s seminar will be titled "How to change your mind: Molecular mechanisms of excitatory synapse development and plasticity".

Because CSUN has suspended large in-person meetings to help slow the transmission of the novel coronavirus, this week’s Colloquium will be presented by videoconference on the Zoom service. You can watch the presentation on Friday at 2pm via this meeting link, with passcode Biology490. (Following the link may prompt the installation of the Zoom app in order to display video.)
