This week’s seminar in the Biology Colloquium series will be given by Dr. Angelica Riestra from the Nizet Lab at UC San Diego. Riestra studies the molecular basis of host-pathogen interactions, currently focusing on Trichomonas vaginalis, a protist that causes the most common non-viral sexually transmitted infection. Her seminar will be titled “Dissecting Trichomonas vaginalis stress signaling pathogenesis and host innate immune response.”
The Biology Colloquium series is held every Friday during the semester, at 2:00pm in Chaparral Hall room 5125.
