CSUN scientists to host Earth Day celebration with activities for local students

The CSUN College of Science and Mathematics will celebrate Earth Day 2019 with a day of workshops, exhibits, and hands-on science activities for elementary and middle school students. Students from third through eighth grade and their families are invited to join CSUN students and scientists starting at 8:00 am Saturday, April 27 in front of Chaparral Hall.

The Earth Day events are coordinated by Professor of Biology Dr. Virginia Vandergon, with Dr. Cindy Malone (Biology), Dr. Brian Foley (Science Education), Dr. Dorothy Nguyen-Graff (Chemistry), Dr. Matthew d’Alessio (Geology). Activities and exhibits will be contributed by student science clubs including the Biology Women in Science, the Noyce Scholars, Bridges, BUILD PODER, Undergraduates in ITEP, and the Biology, Geology, Chemistry, and Physics Clubs.
