Colloquium: Hoover on molecular signals that could regenerate spinal discs

Malachia Hoover (CSUN Today)

The Spring 2024 Biology Colloquium Series continues this Friday with a seminar by Malachia Hoover, a PhD candidate in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at Stanford University, and a CSUN Biology undergraduate and graduate alumna. Her talk, supported by URISE and Bridges to the Doctorate, will be titled, “Characterization of a novel spinal skeletal stem cell population and signaling mechanism governing their regeneration into spinal disc tissue”.

Colloquium series seminars are held Fridays at 2pm in Chaparral Hall room 5122. Ms. Hoover will be available after the seminar to meet with students during a “Meet the Speaker” reception, with light refreshments, in Chaparral Hall 5201.
