Colloquium: Van Hoven on the neural development of learning

Dr. Van Hoven (Van Hoven Lab website)

This week’s seminar in the Biology Colloquium series launches will be presented by Miri Van Hoven, an Associate Professor of Biology at San José State University. Dr. Van Hoven studies neural development, memory, learning, and sleep, using the nematode C. elegans as a model. Her presentation will be titled “Genetics and activity shape the developing neural circuits”.

Because CSUN has suspended large in-person meetings to help slow the transmission of the novel coronavirus, this week’s Colloquium will be presented by videoconference on the Zoom service. You can watch the presentation on Friday at 2pm via this meeting link, with passcode biology. (Following the link may prompt the installation of the Zoom app in order to display video.)
