CSUN Dreamers scholarships offer support for undocumented students

The CSUN Dream Center is soliciting applications for a number of scholarships for the coming academic year that are either specific to or have preference for undocumented students, who have AB540 classification and a California Dream Act application on file. Applications can be submitted through the myMatador Scholarships platform; links are provided below. Most are due next Friday, April 23, except for the MSP CSUN Dreamers Scholarship, which is due July 1.

The MSP CSUN Dreamers Scholarship, due July 1, 2021, offers $1,250-$12,500 to college undergraduate students enrolled part-time or full-time.

The MSP Elia Torres Scholarship, due April 23, 2021, offers $1,000 to both full-time undergraduate and graduate students with a 2.5 GPA.

The MSP Maria Odilia CSUN Dreamers Scholarship, due April 23, 2021, offers $1,000 to first-time Freshmen entering their first semester, who graduated from a high school in the San Fernando Valley.

The MSP Omar Velasco Dreamers Scholarship, due April 23, 2021, offers $2,500 to first-time Freshmen entering their first semester, who graduated from San Fernando High School — and with a preference for students studying Journalism, Cinema and Television Arts, or Communication Studies.

The MSP Ortiz Mind and Heart Scholarship, due April 23, 2021, offers $1,000 to college undergraduate students with a 3.25 GPA, with a preference for students studying Journalism and/or is enrolled in the Educational Opportunity Program.
