Colloquium: White on measuring the performance of marine protected areas

Dr. White (OSU)

This week’s seminar in the Biology Colloquium series will be given by Will White, Assistant Professor in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife at Oregon State University. Dr. White, who is a guest of the MBGSA, studies population ecology in marine contexts, particularly methods for monitoring and predicting the population dynamics of managed species. His talk will be titled "Linking models and data for adaptive management of Marine Protected Areas".

Because CSUN has suspended large in-person meetings to help slow the transmission of the novel coronavirus, this week’s Colloquium will be presented by videoconference on the Zoom service. You can watch the presentation starting at the usual time for colloquium seminars, Friday at 2pm, via this meeting link: https://csun.zoom.us/j/145988700. (Following the link may prompt the installation of the Zoom app in order to display video.)
