This week’s seminar in the Biology Colloquium series will be given by Dr. Marc Meyer from the Pacific Southwest Region of the USDA Forest Service. Meyer, an alumnus of the CSUN Biology Master’s program, studies restoration ecology in fire-adapted ecosystems, work particularly relevant to Southern California in a period of increasing fire frequency and severity. His seminar will be titled “Forest Fire in Drought: Are Restoration Treatments Still Effective in an Era of Rapid Environmental Change?”
The Biology Colloquium series is held every Friday during the semester, at 2:00pm in Chaparral Hall room 5125.
