Help restore native plants in the Santa Monica mountains this Saturday

Restoration ecologists with the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area are seeking volunteers to help replant areas burned in last year’s Woolsey Fire this Saturday. Students looking for a preview of restoration ecology work and hands-on experience planting native grasses and shrubs can spend the day helping Re-plant Love achieve a goal of 3,000 plants placed.

The restoration event will run from 9 to 5 Saturday, working out of the Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills, with food, drinks, and music provided. Volunteer sign-up is at the Re-plant Love website.
