Colloquium: Larson on the genetics of reproductive isolation in house mice

This week’s seminar in the Biology Colloquium series will be given by Dr. Erica Larson, visiting from the University of Denver. Dr. Larson studies sexual selection, sperm morphology, and their role in the evolution of reproductive isolation — literally the origin of new species. She will present her research on the evolution of genes that contribute to male sterility in hybrids between subspecies of house mice.

The Biology Colloquium series is held every Friday during the semester, at 2:00pm in Chaparral Hall room 5125.
