This week’s presentation in the Biology Colloquium series will be given by Dr. Brandie Cross, who studies the pharmacological benefits of cannabinoids, the active ingredients in Cannabis. Cross, who founded The Pot Lab as an outgrowth of dissertation research at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, will present her recent work on the effects of “raw” THCA and CBDA, cannabinoids that are precursors for more widely used THC and CBD. Cross received her BA in Biology and Master’s in Biotechnology at CSUN, and her seminar is sponsored by the MARC Program.
