Colloquium: Espino-Pérez digs into the complexities of multiracial identity

The Spring 2025 Biology Colloquium Series continues this Friday with a seminar by Kathy Espino-Pérez, Assistant Professor of Psychological Sciences at Western Oregon University. Dr. Espino-Pérez, who earned her Master’s degree at CSUN before going on to doctoral research, studies the societal consequences of racial identities and diversity. Her talk is sponsored by URISE and Bridges to the PhD, and will be titled “One of Us? The Racial Categorization of Monoracial and Biracial Diversity Scholarship Applicants”.

Colloquium series seminars are held Fridays at 2pm in Chaparral Hall room 5125.
