Applications for the 2023 Newhall Land and Farming Southern California Scholarship in Support of Terrestrial Ecology remain open through Thursday, March 30. The Newhall Scholarship provides up to $1500 to a graduate student studying the ecology of Southern California, towards expenses arising from fieldwork (travel to field sites), visits to museums, small equipment purchases, and expendable materials. Applicants should submit materials, which include a letter of recommendation from their thesis advisor and a two-page project description and budget justification, via Academicworks.
