Colloquium: Maihle on how precision medicine tailors treatment to patients

Dr. Maihle

This week’s seminar in the Biology Colloquium series will be given by Nita Maihle, the Director for Basic Research in the University of Mississippi Medical Center Cancer Institute, Dean of the DOD National Ovarian Cancer Academy, and Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Cell & Molecular Biology at the UMMC School of Medicine. Dr. Maihle studies methods for early detection of cancer, and methods to select treatment options based on information about individual patients and cancer cases. Her talk will be titled "Precision Medicine: Cancer".

Because CSUN has suspended large in-person meetings to help slow the transmission of the novel coronavirus, this week’s Colloquium will be presented by videoconference on the Zoom service. You can watch the presentation starting at the usual time for colloquium seminars, Friday at 2pm, via this meeting link: https://csun.zoom.us/j/145988700.
